The Finger Lakes region is brimming with interesting and fun things to do! In addition to downtown Ithaca and Robert Treman State park, below is a short list of some of the Finger Lakes attractions that you can take advantage of while visiting the area and staying at Enfield Manor.
– The Finger Lakes Wine Trails are one of the most popular attractions in the region and most popular wine trails in the USA. The wine trails span over 5 of the Finger Lakes and wind through picturesque, rolling hills that you won’t want to miss. Visit one of the Finger Lakes Wine Tour websites HERE.
– The famous Finger Lakes Hiking Trail passes through the woods just below our property. The Finger Lakes Trail system, over 950 miles in length, runs from the Pennsylvania-New York border in Allegany State Park to the Long Path in the Catskill Forest Preserve, with branch trails to Niagara Falls, the Genesee River valley, the Great Eastern Trail south of Corning, the central Finger Lakes, and the Syracuse region. From the PA border to the northeast end of the Onondaga Branch, the Finger Lakes Trail is also the North Country National Scenic Trail. ClickHERE to visit the official Finger Lakes Trail website.
– Visit the Finger Lakes Nations Parks. Other than the Robert Treman State Park which is a short walk from Enfield Manor, there are many other parks to enjoy close to Ithaca. These include Taughannock National Park, Watkins Glen National Park and Buttermilk Falls. Click HERE for a full list of parks throughout the Finger Lakes Region.
– Cayuga Lake and Senaca Lake offer a wonderful opportunity to kayak or SUP, so bring your kayak or rent one at Puddle Dockers. The lakes also have boat tours during the summer season including sunset cruises on Cayuga Lake.
– Golf courses: There are six golf courses within a 30 minute drive from our home. Tom is a devoted golf player and can tell you all about them! Click HERE for a comprehensive list.
